ARTOP

African Refugees and Teens out Reach Program (ARTOP) the primary objective is to assist both new immigrants and African refugee youth (NIARY) develop constructive sense about African Refugees and Teens out Reach Program (ARTOP)

It images, successful life management skills and realizes attainable goals. ARTOP’s elements of operation include in class discussions and volunteer services in the communities. The classroom component promotes the development of decision-making and communication skills and focuses on concerns such as NIARY relationship building concepts, peer pressure, family problems and life options. It bestows supportive environment in which the students do most of the talking and the facilitators relate to the students in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner. Volunteering in the community enhances the students’ sense of self-worth and enables them to see themselves as obliging contributing members in their communities.
